BAPM is looking for volunteers to take part in a series of focus groups to determine BAPM's strategy and work plan for the next 3 years. The outcomes of the discussion will be shared with the BAPM Executive Committee in help with the preparation of the strategic plan for 2021-24. BAPM's current strategic plan is available here.

Focus groups will all take place virtually and last for just over an hour. Each focus group will ask participants to discuss 1 specific question taken from the list below as well as a general discussion of BAPM's strategic aims.

  • 14:00 – 15:15 3rd November - What should BAPM do for Nurses, ANNPs and Midwives in the next 3 years? 
  • 14:00 – 15:15 10th November - What should BAPM do for AHPs in the next 3 years?
  • 14:00 – 15:15 24th November - What should BAPM do for trainees in the next 3 years? 
  • 10:00 – 11:15 1st December - What should BAPM do for NICU staff in the next 3 years?
  • 14:00 – 15:15 2nd December - What should BAPM do for LNU staff in the next 3 years?
  • 11:00 – 12:15 8th December - What should BAPM do to improve the partnership between neonatology and obstetrics in the next 3 years?
  • 14:00 – 15:15 9th December - What should BAPM do for SCU staff in the next 3 years?

To volunteer please email the BAPM Office with the following details:

  • Name
  • Job role
  • Place of work
  • (Where appropriate) If you work for an NICU / LNU / SCU
  • If you are a member of BAPM
  • Which date(s) you want to attend.

We will try to ensure participants of each group span a range of disciplines and roles. In addition to the focus groups, BAPM will be sending out a survey later in the year so we can receive input from even more of our members and stakeholders.
