Fetal & Neonatal Brain Magnetic Resonance Imaging: Clinical Indications, Acquisitions and Reporting

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has become increasingly available to clinicians for the evaluation of the fetus and neonate. However, with the exception of MR imaging in infants with hypoxic-ischaemic encepahalopathy (HIE), there are no formal guidelines that address clinical indications and the practical aspects of MRI in these patient groups within the NHS.
