How can you access the data for quality improvement and/or research?

There are a few ways you can access your neonatal unit’s data.

Unit level data

You can access your neonatal unit data directly from your electronic record. You may need permission from your local data lead.

You can also view your unit’s progress on NNAP Online. Data may not be available for a unit for a given year as not all data years will be available for all units, especially in Scotland.

Network level data

You may be able to obtain your network data by contacting your network lead.

National-level data

You may apply to access national data from the NNRD via the HDR-UK innovation gateway. Appropriate regulatory permission, as well as funding, will be required.

You may be able to access data relating to your area of interest by applying to the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP) for access to the NNAP dataset.

British Association of Perinatal Medicine (BAPM) is registered in England & Wales under charity number 1199712 at 5-11 Theobalds Road, London, WC1X 8SH.
