I first joined BAPM as an SHO because I knew I wanted to do neonatal GRID training and I was keen to be part of the neonatal community, and use the various resources that membership gave access to – for example the subscription to Infant and the Trainees meeting. I have found the excellent Frameworks for Practice useful on so many topics.

Recently I’ve joined the QI toolkit working group for maternal breastmilk. Working with experts from all over the country has been really valuable experience. The other working group members are all very kind to a junior trainee and value the skills I can bring! In the future I’d love for BAPM to focus on perinatal mental health during the Covid pandemic and beyond.

If you love neonates, come and join the community!

British Association of Perinatal Medicine (BAPM) is registered in England & Wales under charity number 1199712 at 5-11 Theobalds Road, London, WC1X 8SH.
