  • Local or regional audit against the Neonatal Services Quality Indicators, BAPM.
  • Themes generated from error reporting, adverse event and mortality/morbidity review of preterm infants including learning for excellence and good practice.
  • Review of resuscitation video footage, recordings of parental communication, ward rounds and teaching.
  • Rates of staff recruitment, retention and absence and locum cover; results of exit questionnaires.
  • Staff feedback boards.
