This webinar will provide an introduction to the new framework ‘Pre-hospital management of the baby born at extreme preterm gestation’ and discuss how paramedic and neonatal teams can work together to ensure a smooth transition to hospital care for both baby and mother. Developed by BAPM in collaboration with the College of Paramedics and Royal College of Midwives, the framework provides guidance to health care professionals attending an unplanned extreme preterm birth in an out of hospital setting.

The webinar will cover practical interventions that can be undertaken to provide safe care and comfort to the extremely preterm baby until assessment and ongoing management by an appropriately experienced neonatal clinician.
