Neonatal palliative and end of life care can be highly emotional and intimidating situation for trainees and nursing staff.

This course has been developed to allow an immersive experienceof neonatal palliative and end of life care through a mixture oflectures, discussions and small group simulations.

Topics covered include: death in the delivery room; decisionmaking at the cusps of viability, antenatal counselling for terminalconditions, application of parallel planning and advanced careplanning concepts and bereavement clinic follow-up.

Suitable for: Paediatric and Neonatal Trainees (ST5+), AdvancedNeonatal Nurse Practitioners and Senior Neonatal Nursing andMidwifery staff or Bereavement Champions.
