This webinar is planned to be the first in a series of 3, launching the core Quality and QI workstreams.

This webinar marks the launch of the Quality workstream focussing on closing the gap in healthcare inequalities for neonatal patients. Through examining the existing knowledge base, and identifying an evidence based QI approach, we will strive to reduce burdensome unwarranted variation.

Led by Dr Amitava Sur, Consultant Neonatologist and Dr Caroline Henry, Grid trainee, this arm of BAPM's Quality group will evaluate and generate important opportunities for perinatal QI with a particular focus on socio-ethnic disparities.

In this webinar we will hear what the outcomes data already tells us, and hear a Public Health approach to understanding how real-life QI can impact inequalities.

These webinars will be chaired by Dr Chantelle Tomlinson, BAPM's Quality Lead, Consultant Neonatologist, Nottingham University Hospitals.

  • What do we know, and what do we not, about inequalities in neonatal intensive care? - Natalie Gallagher
