The British Association of Perinatal Medicine (BAPM) is developing a toolkit to help perinatal health care professionals reduce the occurrence of chronic lung disease in preterm babies also called Bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD). We would love for one or more parent or carers to provide a parent’s perspective on the recommendations made in the toolkit.

Clinical knowledge of the disease is not expected, we are looking for parents willing to share their experiences of spending time on the neonatal unit and provide inputs/ suggestions that could positively influence the care pathway.

Parent / carer volunteers will be asked to:

  • Read through the draft version of the toolkit and provide feedback from a parent’s perspective via email or by attending a working group meeting.
  • [Optional] Attend regular working group meetings.
  • [Optional] Contribute to the relevant sub-group developing the toolkit.

The work will be undertaken on a volunteer basis and all meetings will be held virtually. To apply please email [email protected] with 1-2 paragraphs summarising your reasons for getting involved by the deadline. Any questions at all please get in contact.

Deadline: 5 January 2023

British Association of Perinatal Medicine (BAPM) is registered in England & Wales under charity number 1199712 at 5-11 Theobalds Road, London, WC1X 8SH.
