Newborns Vietnam is seeking experienced Level 3 and Level 2 neonatal consultants to teach in Hanoi, providing clinical teaching, lectures and assessments. The minimum teaching period is two weeks. Newborns Vietnam provides an economy flight, accommodation, a meals allowance, insurance and any PCR tests that may be required.

In addition to short-term teaching placements, the organisation is looking for a retired/about to retire consultants for a period of one to three months.

Newborns Vietnam is a United Kingdom registered charity (114652) licensed to operate as an NGO in Vietnam. It is a medical education charity dedicated to improving the life chances of mothers and newborn babies in Vietnam.

After more than nine years of work in the country, Newborns Vietnam has identified the three most important factors that could improve neonatal care outcomes in Vietnam:

  • the continued implementation of its UK neonatal post-graduate training programme
  • the implementation of standardised resuscitation training
  • the establishment of managed neonatal networks across the country.

Its neonatal postgraduate training has achieved year-on-year reduction in neonatal mortality and change of practice at major hospitals in central Vietnam and Hanoi.

In 2022 Newborns Vietnam will support 25 hospitals in three cities and four provinces.
