BAPM is seeking members to join the Quality Steering Group. This group is responsible for leading BAPM’s Quality Improvement work and overseeing relevant projects and subgroups to deliver BAPM’s strategic aims in this area.

Over the past few years BAPM has developed several toolkits to support units to improve their performance against key NNAP measures including the development of a perinatal optimisation pathway. The next phase of work will focus on the implementation of the existing toolkits with an emphasis on preterm perinatal optimisation. We will be working in partnership with other perinatal organisations to align recommendations wherever possible. Upcoming projects include revision of the BAPM Neonatal Service Quality Indicators and development of a BPD toolkit. The group is also responsible for maintaining the quality pages on the BAPM website.

Current vacancies on the group are:

  • 1-2 Trainees
  • 1-2 AHPs
  • Anyone interested in supporting development of web pages

No previous experience of BAPM working groups is required and applications from BAPM members will be given priority above non-members.

Meetings will be held 3-4 times per year although additional meetings will be scheduled for relevant sub-group projects. All meetings will be virtual.

To apply please complete the application form and return to the BAPM Office by 31 May.
