There is an opportunity to join NHS Resolution’s Early Notification (EN) team as a National Neonatal Clinical Fellow on a fixed-term or secondment basis for one year from March 2024. The role will be advertised in late summer 2023 via NHS Jobs.

In April 2017, NHS Resolution launched the EN scheme, since then, all maternity services have been required to notify NHS Resolution of incidents where there is the potential for long-term severe brain injury.

This is an opportunity to work at a national level and contribute to improving outcomes in maternity and neonatal care. A large proportion of the role will involve reviewing case files and supporting the implementation of the EN reporting criteria, and working with the EN family liaison and mediation lead to communicate with families.

Additional responsibilities include the opportunity to: lead on an individual project within the organisation for publication, represent NHS Resolution at external meetings with partner organisations; attend local, regional and national meetings or events.

The vacancy will be advertised in late August via NHS jobs.
