BAPM is seeking a member to contribute to an international guideline development panel involving teams from The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the UK. You will be representing BAPM at a discussion on the panel’s European Collaborative Obstetrics and Gynaecology Guidelines.

A representative of BAPM is requested to discuss the guideline module on corticosteroids for planned caesarean sections after 34 weeks of gestation, together with perinatologists and neonatologists of all four countries.

The following organisations were involved in the development of the guidelines: the Dutch Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (NVOG), the Royal Dutch Association of Midwives (KNOV), the Flemish Association of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (VVOG), the German Association of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DGGG) and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists
(RCOG), supported by the Knowledge Institute of the Dutch Association of Medical Specialists.

The discussion will be held by Zoom, chaired by Dr Hans Duvekot, consultant in obstetrics and gynaecology, Erasmus University Medical Centre in Rotterdam. It is planned to take place on Friday 9 July 2021, 1:30–3:00pm UK time.
