BAPM is seeking members to join a working group to review BAPM's framework for Practice on ‘Fetal & Neonatal Brain Magnetic Resonance Imaging: Clinical Indications, Acquisitions and Reporting’. The framework was first published in 2016 and includes recommendations on the following areas:

  • Reporting of fetal and neonatal MRI brain scans
  • Term infants with acquired brain injury, encephalopathy or seizures
  • Term infants with congenital heart disease & term infants undergoing extracorporeal membrane oxygenation
  • Preterm infants
  • Fetal imaging

The group will review the framework to bring in line with the most recent evidence. As this is a review of an existing document it is envisaged that a small group will undertake a literature search and review the document in detail and the wider group will agree the review remit and a final draft.

We are particularly interested in applications from Nurses/ ANNPs, AHPs and Trainees but any BAPM members with an interest in this area are welcome to apply. To apply please contact the BAPM office including 1 paragraph outlining the reason for your interest and any relevant experience to join the group. Meetings will all take place virtually.

Deadline: 9 December
