N3 are planning a virtual meeting to discuss research priorities in neonatal nutrition on January 20th 2021.
The meeting will include the presentation of research studies and will seek feedback from anyone working in neonatal nutrition. The focus will be on Large UK collaborative controlled trials testing nutritional interventions, or interventions impacting on other aspects of growth/nutrition or NEC, that would be eligible for EME/HTA NIHR or similar funding i.e. trials similar to ELFIN, SIFT, PiPS, DOMINO etc.
They are not planning on this occasion to discuss mechanistic or basic science studies, or studies not powered to assess key clinical outcomes. There will only be time to present around 6-8 studies.
If you are interested in presenting a study, please send an email to Nick Embleton including an outline in PICOT format, including approximate power calculation, brief description <300 words, and likely funding stream you would apply to. If they receive more than 6-8 studies they will coordinate presenters and work out a fair & transparent way of using the opportunity.
